Kenya records 622 new COVID-19 cases, total infections now past 180,000

Kenya’s health ministry has on Wednesday announced that it has recorded 622 new coronavirus cases, raising the country’s total tally to 180,498 cases.

313 people have recovered from the disease, 206 from Home Based and Isolation Care while 107 are from various health facilities countrywide.

The number of total recoveries is now at 123,363. 89,398 from Home Based Care and Isolation while 33,965 are from various health facilities.

Unfortunately, 30 people have succumbed to the disease. Total fatalities from COVID-19 now stand at 3,514.

A total of 1,201,325 COVID-19 vaccines have thus far been administered across the country, 997,420 being first doses while 203,905 are second doses.
